are 1000w'ers out of the picture?

i took a year off and about to start the grow room up again. i decided to pop in and see if there have been any changes in technology and i noticed that not too many people are using 1000's anymore.....what gives?
anyway i was gonna run my 4xsealed 1000's with an additional 3 400's.....whats the alternative nowadays???

I never stopped running mine. I think there's just less to talk about with good old reliable tech.

One has a dimmable ballast. Just in case I need to start some babys.

Because being 15 and growing in your parents house with cfl's is the cool thing to do these days.
