Aquamist i system info & pics

THE AQUAMIST I
Here are some pics of the Aquamist I for anyone who is interested. This Aquamist system
was ordered with the 120 2" sites option. Aquamist top panels can be mixed & matched, and
you can even buy some platic and make custom panels if you wish (keeping in mind where
the spray heads are located so as not to interfere with them).

When my system arrived the box was busted open, and the "legs" of the stand were poking
out through the back of the box. Luckily, the unit was not damaged. However, some of the
mesh pots were missing, and the 3 un-protected spray heads were also missing (the system
comes with 2 sets of sprayers.. see descriptions of each below). I contacted GrowGenie
(the owner/distributor) who promptly sent the missing components and apologized for any
inconvenience.

Anyway.. here are the specs and some pics:

SPRAYER - PROTECTED: Used When root systems get close to spray-heads. They keep the
roots safe from damage, and the "netting" also serves to create a finer, more dipersed
spray pattern.

SPRAYER - UN-PROTECTED: These spray-heads are used for new starts and rooting cuttings.
They distribute nutrient solution all the way to the top panels.

you gonna do something with that or is this just an advertisement? If it is an ad I'm gonna say damn that's pricey, anyone with a minimum of diy skills/tools could make that for a fraction of the cost. If you're gonna do something with it then I say I look forward to seeing your posted results.

Well it's not an "ad". I posted this because I happen to have one, and I thought it might be nice to let
people see it up close, whether they are considering buying OR building one. As for price... yeah, it's a
bit inflated, but sometimes I have a good budget for toys! BTW, I have excellent DIY skills, but in
all honesty "Rubbermaid" systems do very little for me.

Oh the real tech savvy in the grow room diy scene have moved from rubbermaid totes and now use igloo coolers and sheets of 1/4 inch thick plastic and reservoirs and pvc pipe and water pumps and and and, haha, anyway, like I said if this isn't an ad I look forward to your future posts.

Actually the system is currently for sale in a local publication, but since I have not gotten one
single inquiry, it may be getting fired up after all. So it's Igloo coolers now? lol.. that's "cool".
Whatever works I say. I didn't mean to come off as anti-homemade.. I like to experiment as
much as anyone. I am in the process of developing an aeroponic system right now as a matter
of fact. I think I can produce a flexible powerhouse of a system cheaper than the competition.

That is why I buy retail systems. If I can't get access to a system I have to buy it just to see
how it's made. Sometimes I use them, and sometimes I don't. I have reverse engineered quite
a few retail systems with the help of local grow stores. The Aquamist is only sold direct, so it
had to be purchased.

I like the Aquamist for it's simplicity, and for the fact it's self contained, but $500 is ridiculous.
If you think that's crazy check out the "Genesis". I believe the full package is currently in the
neighborhood of $3,699.00 (for a 2'x4' system). The thing that's funny is I can get "Genesis"
performance for a few hundred bucks using my spray system. Here is the Genesis:

It's obscene the pricing.. but they do sell 'em to NASA! LOL!!!
