Apollo Horticulture?

It's funny how as long as the ballast fires a lamp people praise them. There are unseen things like rfi and thd to consider.

I have 2 Apollo 600 watters that I got from amazon and couldn't be happier with them. Especially for the price tag compared to the high prices of many other lights

I bought a 600 from them and had a HPS bulb blow after a couple weeks. Called them and they were able to confirm my Amazon purchase date and shipped me a replacement bulb that day. Anyway I think their stuff is OK and it's nice to be able to pick up the phone and call if you got a problem.

I like apollo horticulture products. One of my bulbs died after a few weeks and they replaced it for free.

I would rate their products a solid 9. I have their digital ballasts and led's. One of the ballasts the fan was kind of loud, wasn't a big deal.
Also one of the reflectors holes for hanging wasn't aligned correctly. They offered to replace it but I just drilled my own hole.

I ordered the 600, now I can replace about 15 or so CFL's and their accompanying cords and plugs...should simplify things quite a bit here.

:peace:

Apollo 600 here. Been working great so far. I also have a thunder 600 and the (SuperNova) HPS bulb lasted 432 hours. Got ahold of them (Amazon) and was told to look for a better bulb!!! I replaced the bulb and am happy with the ballast.

SuperNova does not have a website and is distributed by a company in California so there is no one to contact about the short life of the bulb.

You do know those have a very high thd rating right? Plus I witnessed a fuckload of lumatek returns at the hydro shop I frequent. Most of them had melted plastic parts. Lumaflame all the way.
Again, consider rfi and thd. every ballast/lamp/socket isn't created equal.
The price is down and the quality up. Solis Tek all thje way.

^^^yes I would go with solis tek or Gavita. RFI is a real problem here for some growers it is causing the Cable tv to fuck up and also fucking with there neighbors cable tv and internet. The cable company can disconnect the cable to your house if they find a large RFI leak coming from your house and you refuse to fix it. I used to work for the cable company and had to do this several times to people that wouldn't let us in the home(for obvious reasons) to find the RFI leak.
