Apical Dominance

Ok this is a noob question but i didnt want to post this in that area because i dont expect answers there... but could apical dominance apply to our lovley ladies? i know it works with other plants but i thought maybe for some gay reason it wouldnt... Someone inform me because this would make some pretty big yeilds if works
