Apartment-sized growing; will a wardrobe do?

Greetings everyone.

I'm planning to make a small grow room in my apartment. Well, calling it a "room" is a bit over the top. The idea is to fit it into a wardrobe, and here's what I'm thinking.

I think there would be no problems putting in a hydroponics system; after all, it doesn't have to be big, and that goes into the lower part of the wardrobe. The problem is at the top: lights and ventilation.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to keep a mother plant and a single clone growing in one section and a single plant in the flowering section.

So... what kind of ventilation (a filter would be definitely needed for the flowering section) and lighting solutions should I consider? Also, since this is all planning, I don't really have a wardrobe as such; what would be the ideal measurements for one to hold it all?

One more thing: since I'd wouldn't have too much space to grow mother plants wouldn't it be better to go with some feminized seeds? After all, throw some bad luck into the mix, and it could be a long time before I come out with a female plant...

That's the thing; I'm merely planning, and I'm wondering what would be the ideal thing (I don't think getting a wardrobe of a given size would be too difficult; actual room sizes might be the biggest constraints here). I don't want to grow too much, to be honest. I can't smoke THAT much, and if I've got too much left-over weed and someone "catches wind", so to speak, things could get ugly. So, I'm thinking the smallest possible solution while leaving enough room to make it comfortable to work with.

so you just want to grow for Percy i would reckon a wardrobe would be fine for you you doing cfl or hid because if you r useing a hid system your gona need a cool tube and extractor fan

Yeah, I know I'll probably need something along those lines.

But... I'm worried if I will be able to fit this all in at the top of such a wardrobe (both the light and fan; what sort of fan would be good BTW?). Oh, and since we're on the subject, what kind of light would be good for the vegetation section?

*sigh* I'm one of those guys that needs to have it all planned; I haven't grown anything yet, so I'd rather know the most before I get to it as to not screw it up. One thing is certain; I will really need a hydroponics system, cos if I have to water the plants consistently... well, there wouldn't be any plants after a short while.

get autoflower plants so you wont need a veg section, and you wont need to bother with clones.

buy the seeds, give em 24 hour a day light and 70 days or so later-voila!

im planning the same thing, jus going to use a standard white wardrobe about 5-6ft high 3-4ft wide 2 doors and nothing inside 1 big open space or mayb a small shelf along top for the electrics ect, jus going to run a metal bar along the top of wardrobe inside on wich to hang my 8u 6500k daylight CFL With reflective hood on hangers, and a few single cfl's on just 1 - 2m cable for side lighting, i pllan to just switch my main 8u CFL with my 2700k Flowering light for Fowering and jus 12/12 it jus plan on doing 2 - 3 plants i think will do fine... anyhow that jus gives u some ideas

Used to be quite a group on OG called C13. C13 is the storage cabinet available at Lowes & Home Depot. They work great.
