What do you guys think about growing in apartments. Is it a bad idea? I have changed the locks on the bedroom door but if matinence came could they just bust the lock? What are some tips for a successful apartment grow?

All help is greatly appreciated.

I would be worried about the smell. That whole maintenence stopping in thing doesn't sound good either. I would vote "not a good idea"

I have been growing in my aprtment for 6 months now. I waited 2 and a half months before doing anything. The management is very respectful of my privacy and I haven't had any issues. Make sure you know your apartment before you start. Pesticides are sprayed every month in every apartment, I told them I didn't want chemicals being sprayed and they didn't question it, I also looked up EPA warnings about the chemicals to give valid reasons for this. If there is ever an inspection they will give a least 24 hours notice. It is doable, just be on your toes...

works best in a closet, buy a latch and key lock, don't tell anyone, cant stress secrecy enough, the more people that know the more likely you are to have bad shit happen to your babies.

It is a bad idea to grow in an aparmtent but so is driving in to the ghetto to score. Gotta do what you gotta do.

I will take your advice about secrecy. I am not the kind of person you look at and think is a pothead by any means so the only way someone would find out is if they actually went looking for it.

shit man i dont give a fuck im doin it in my room changed all the locks, there not going to break ur door down dude they will simply leave u a note to test teh smoke alarm or some random reason put ur shit in ur closet, let them do it. im going to run my 1000 watt and 2 2x4 flood tables, just make sure u have a sealed room with a carbon filter. if u just pay your bills on time they wont care how much electricty u use. Think logically on this. its very possible.

Also im not worried get your self one of these and trust me they wont want to come in..ANYone:blsmoke:

peace :peace:

Not a good idea at all, I know someone that was growing in an appartment. But had to stop, half way threw because of the random pest people, they just let them there self in. Also the smell of it, and security. Inspectors as well, not a good idea. I wouldn't even take a chance.

well i was looking for a walkin closet but no apts would accept my dog so i built a 4x4 room with mylar an the white cv piping thats real light and u can make what ever u want, its going to be good. i live in a house right now and seriously maybe its bc i live here but i never smell my plants. people come over alll the time stand right next to the door where theres like 20 plants and dont smell a thing, but im always smoking so i guess it covers it up

I've already addressed the pest control issue, the apartment can't force you to have pesticides sprayed inside your place.

Not a real good idea. It can be done though. Smell can get ya caught, maintenance can be a problem also. You'll just have to feel your landlord out.
The main thing to remember is that the landlord is not constrained by the constitution. He can call the cops if he discovers your grow, and it's a good bust. Cops need either a warrant, or the owner/authorized agents permission to enter the premises. Your landlord is "SUPPOSED" to give notice before entering, but we all know it happens all the time. If he/she narcs you out, it CAN be used by the cops in court.

This is pretty much exact. They have to give 24 hrs notice before coming in your pad. You better know that from hour 1 I will be tearing everything down.

There is no way it would take me more that a day for my stuff to be taken down. If you have an apartment keep it simple. No 20 light op there would be a good idea.

Smells, you have to use the carbon filters, when you smoke make sure you don't blaze too much by the window with no inscents or anything. Know your neightbors. Be cool with them they will offer you added security.

Most apartments need the people the be living in them to make money. They want you there.Just don;t act like a wierdo. My place too respects my privacy. We are not little kids anymore that have someone check on us every couple hours.

But if your whole block reeks you may have a problem...

im growing in apartament. i had problems with others noticing the smell. im growing in small room where is ventilation. if you do the same - stop the air movment. its not good for plants but its better rhan getting cought.

when i blocked every single hole in my room - theres no smell leaks at all. i recomend to you do the same.

smell is your biggest enemy.
