My hubby is like that too. Mellow and laid back but when he does lose it (and it is very seldom I am still alive) it's like a volcano (hehehehe) going off. Look out and take shelter.
Although we had problems with our insurance. Found out Mr. Mellow doesn't do well spending over and hour on the phone being transferred around. I get those jobs. Lucky me.
I don't know if anyone out there has ever had a friend that is a radio or tv announcer but they have their "work voices". I have a telephone voice. Fdd no it is not about phone sex.

then he shorts me my vacation pay. he had a check cut. he pulled my time card. made it so i would come to him first thing. he has my check in hand and says here you go see ya later. so as i'm driving down the road i see he forgot my vacation pay. so i go back and ask him for it. he says the same thing he always says, "i'm sorry, i forgot". the guy couldn't even fire me right. he really has some serious personal issues. i wish i could have really helped him. i've been standing by watching his company slowly crumble. i wish he could have just showed me the respect i had earned. i would have done anything for him. he just didn't get it. it was all about him.

Ah, he saw you as a threat. For some it is hard to take the leap of faith that is total trust in another human being. He saw how good you are, maybe better than him. He feared your help for that would reveal his weakness.
