Anything other than bugs leaving this shiny/silvery residue?

Hey guys n girls. I've noticed something today you might be able to help me with. I see some shiny residue on some of the leaves which has the look of thrips about it. I'll start with the neem oil when the lights are about to go out today. The only thing is I've been all over the plant and haven't spotted a single thrip or anything else moving. Here's some photos. They aren't the clearest photos but the marks you're seeing here are definitely shiny/silvery residue. Could anything other than bugs be causing little patches of shiny/silvery residue on the leaves? Thanks in advance.

Can't tell, picture quality's kinda shit. If it is a bug issue, sounds like aphids. They call a particular excretion of aphids "honeydew." It's sweet and draws ants.

If it's shiny check the underside of your leaves for thrips. If it is get some Spinosad it will kill them, just had the little bastards on mine as well, Spinosad did the trick!
