Anyone using Lumatek ballasts needs to read this

The cord from the ballast to the bulb plays a part. It acts like an antenna. Shielded cable or twisted conductors help minimize RF transmission.

U use them? I'm new & lookin ta setup but being patient. Im trying not to have any common but secret issues like the ones mentioned here

I have 2 of these ballasts and have checked mine out to be OK, but I have heard of guys wrapping the lead from ballast to bulb in tin foil...seems to work, but yes best to check if faulty send it back

I am an amateur radio operator. I can turn on my 10 meter rig and drive around the hood and point out the houses that possibly have grow lights running! My Apollo 600 ballast is terrible about interference. My Thunder 600 ballast is not so bad. I cannot hear anyone on my radio when my lights are on if I am in my driveway, pull out of the driveway and park in front of the next house and the static reduces drastically. move to the next house and it is gone.

i would tell them to fuck off, at the begining that was our problem but it was interfearing all my friends but they got fix their own problem fuck them.. they gota work out their kinks times change and they need to too..
