This is where I got mine. $60 gets you a lifetime supply pretty much if you really want it. I got the one pound and its so concentrated that I've barely used any so far and it alone will last me at least over a year. I'm not really an expert but best I understand it silica will help protect the root health of your plants and keep them optimal. It may not really make your plants "better" but it should help prevent root rot and allow them to better uptake nutrients simply because the roots are in better health. It has lots of other side benefits too

As said, I use Actisil, which is meant as a foiliar spray. It contains silicon in the form of stabilised orthosilicic acid.
I tested it also on my clones.
I had 2 Cloners.
One sprayed with Actisil and the other cloner just water.
I could see significant better results with the clones sprayed with Actisil. (Anecdotical evidence!)
So it looked as it does not only builds stronger roots.
As I understand it, silicia reinforces cell walls. It helps the plants to withstand diseases, drought and heat.

This is a test done by an institute.
And this is also a nice read.

In the professional market there are silicia products that are meant as foliar spray and others are for irrigation.
There is a really big price difference in it.
I am told you can use the foliar spray silicia also in irrigation (but it is to expensive for that)
But the irrigation silicia can not really be used as foliar spray, because this silicia form is much harder to absorb by the leaves.

did you guys figure out how much agsil16 in 1 gallon of ro water to make as much sio2 in armor si?

i found out on a website 560 grams to make Dynagro's Protekts 7.8% Sio2.

If that websites correct it would come out to 700g to make 10% Sio2... same as armor si.

is this correct?

also i wonder what they do to make in Armor Si to make it a blue tint cause all the other liquid silicas ive used over the years are clear.

just ordered agsil16 5lbs. ill make 3 gals with it at around same concentration as armor si just cause im used to it. itll save like $10-15 on each gal compared to buying Armor Si from the hydro shop

still wondering why armor si has a blueish tint while all the other liquid silicas are clear. anybody know?

They probably just added food coloring to it. To make it look a bit more interesting.
