There's currently about a 3 month lead time on orders so I know there must be some RIU members with these lights...
I got mine (3500K) halfway through flower of my last run so I'm currently on my first full cycle grow with them. I've got two x3s in a 2.5' x 8' tent. Throughout veg I would cautiously turn up the brightness on the lights and watch the plants and turn them down if they got a little singed...which kept happening. The lights were about 36 inches above the plants in veg, I maxed out the height to about 40 inches when I flipped the switch (after 4 weeks of veg). The plants are currently stretching and about 30-36 inches from the light (depending on the plant) and will get burned if I turn the dimmer switch above 50%.
I'm just wondering if anyone wants to share how they use their growcrafts, or perhaps has some insights regarding this issue. It seems like a pretty common issue with LEDs. I guess I'm not even convinced that it is an issue, I don't have a PAR meter so it could be that the plants are getting sufficient light with the dimmer at 50%. I don't supplement with CO2 and going off of the published PAR maps, the fixture can push 700+ PPFD in the corners at 24 inches. Cheers y'all.
