Anyone used the Ecoplus mag drive pumps?

I've always had good luck with the cheap fixed flow inline/submersible ecoplus pumps. I think they are decent, reliable enough, despite the fittings being junk.

Never tried their premium mag drive versions though. Does anyone know how they compare to some of the other mag drive pumps out there?

I have been using ecoplus pumps for 10 years. They are well made and rarely give me any issues.

Nice, same here, many years now. Only issue was breaking a 3/4 threaded x 3/4 barb fitting once by tightening it too tight on one of the fixed flow 396 pumps. Totally my fault. Also the threads don't really match any other threaded fittings other than the ecoplus fittings. They are great pumps. I want to go ahead an order a few more, but always forget they make a mag drive version now, with what looks to be a better impeller housing and fittings. The 500 gph models I want are unfortunatly sold out, but the 700s are actually cheaper than the 250 and 350's. Hmm..

Also the 396 fixed flows went up to 35 dollars, when the MSRP price is still 30. I could still get 2 for the price of one 350 mag drive, and buy an extra fitting that I broke for the other one I have too.

not a fan of ecoplus. its overpriced and they take a shit randomly. bought 3 of those ~600gph pumps 2 months ago. 2 of them took a shit...the motor was just making noises so loud my neighbor across the street could hear. also the sticky pads they have are worthless after a few weeks.

very big fan of hydrofarm pumps. the sticky things actually stick for a long time. so far 3 and a half months....the sticky pad on the pumps still sticks. also more powerful and cheaper than ecoplus.

used ecoplus for years til i went to a new hydrostore that had run out of ecoplus and only had hydrofarm pumps. i tried it out and fell in love. they even have an aeration kit unlike ecoplus.

only bad thing about hydrofarm pumps is the sizings are weird. theyre not 1/2 and 3/4th extensions. idk what they are.

Danner makes a very good quality pump, commonly sold for koi ponds and water features. They run a long time.
