Halagen bulbs 230v x 2 = 460v
Could these be used for a few hours in the evening when i bring my autoflowers indoors until morning. Was thinking maybe 2 or 3 hours to make up for the lack of daylight hours now? Can not buy any others atm..will they damage my leaves if kept at a sensible distant with a fan?www.rollitup.org

there’s a reason people DONT grow with halogen lights. Don’t even waste your time man.. just like others have said. Sell that thing and get a cheap HPS or LED. even some cfls would work better than that thing

Xenon gas bulbs make high veg light..... The problems are the same - High temps... Not to mention the cost of bulbs!Yes, Halogen-lamps work, but they are not very efficient and basically emit alot of IR & heat. If you think you need that, PLUS want to introduce more Far Red to the mainlight, its effects can be quite strong.
I am encountering extreme hyponastic movement, steep stem to petiole angle, high turgor, vigorous but extreme stretchy growth, by adding a 70w Halogen Incand. to a 85w 7200k CFL + 10w UVA + 26w UVB CFL.Xenon gas bulbs make high veg light..... Xenon bulbs are the most expensive light bulbs there are.
Made for science mostly.
The gas is a very, very effective anesthetic! The thing is that refining it is HUGELY expensive! It's basically a very RARE item. It is a Noble gas on the periotic table.
NICE working experiment.... Not exactly clinical but, your making some interesting observations!I am encountering extreme hyponastic movement, steep stem to petiole angle, high turgor, vigorous but extreme stretchy growth, by adding a 70w Halogen Incand. to a 85w 7200k CFL + 10w UVA + 26w UVB CFL.
With this Halogen in conjunction with 2* 25w night vision FR/IR screened lights I am simulating down right now, EOD - sleep initiation:

Dawn EOD sleep, higher FR than PAR:

How will plants now grow under night FR light illumination, and daily brutal UVB UVA and blue insaturation?

or the killer UVC?:

Don’t try to jack threads. Make a post in harvesting/curing.I’m new here to guess I didn’t ask the question right ??
