Anyone use wands/glass rods instead of a lighter?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for alternative ways of lighting up. At the moment I'm using a standard lighter.

I've seen wands / glass rods being used and wanted to know if these stirring glass rods would hold up as a cheap alternative :

They don't seem to be popular unless they're called something else.

i love using wands! so pure

I use an herb iron, but my buddy uses a wand he heats with a torch. You can get some really nice, smooth hits with it.

And don't get stirring rods, get the real deal. You could go to esty.com and find a cheap one if your search around.

just ordered my herb iron after using my hot wand. It works so great but u need a butting torch to heat it up and it can take 15-20 sec so my arm gets tired doing that after every hit
