Anyone use Soulseek? (slsk)

I used to use it on a different computer. it was already virus ridden and infected so i could not tell if SOULSEEK infected my computer. I've heard good things about it, and about how you don't download music the same way you would with P2P programs. I used it for a good year, thousands of files.. i need music on my computer. Is soulseek really free of viruses as it claims to be?

I fucking love soulseek. Have been using it well over 5 years. Never received suspicious music files. I won't use anything else to download music.

I think I'm going to download her again today, I remember the setup process very well. I'm just very afraid of viruses, this computer is real important right now

why not just use torrents? no viruses and you can download the whole albums at once

Soulseek is namely used for downloading whole albums. i used to have and use uTorrent whenever I would download video game ROMS.

I use soulseek, never had a problem to date. using Kaspersky Anti-virus

Nah, i HATE limewire. i used to be a Morpheus and then a Kazaa user.

The reason I downloaded Soulseek was because of the full album downloads. Also, with the chat room functions, it is easy to find thousands of files from the kind of music genres you prefer.

Im gonna have to check this out when I cant find some music on torrent sites witch is alot actually.And yea limewire sucks I used to use it like 3 years ago before I found out about torrents.Mainly for movies but you just cant beat torrents for movies I just downloaded friday right now and it only took about 20 minutes.

Yeah I remember i used to download a lot of movies with utorrent, a lot of video games, computer programs.. porn videos sometimes haha. im afraid of torrents. Because you have to go to a website like piratebay to get the files and everything.. i dunno.

And you should be afraid of TPB, why? Sorry, I'm a trusted uploader there... torrents all the way, P2P GUI programs, thing of the past.

Well, yes... but that is why we have the wonderful comment area below the torrent info, TPB constantly deletes reported torrents, and I can say that the 3+ years I've been using it, I've never received a virus or computer infection of any kind.

Thepiratebay has been fucked up for me lately like not returning searches when I know they have that torrent isohunt is imo way better

i like the comment feature on Isohunt as well. Sometimes i have trouble finding trusted files though

I was turned onto Soulseek years ago by a DJ and have never used anything since,,nor have I ever had a problem with it or any of my d/l's

Am I the only one who thinks demonoid sucks?I can never find what I want and if I do it doesn't have any seeds or barely does.I think isohunt and thepiratebay have been better.I was all hyped about getting that demonoid invitation to.I guess all the hype from it is because its all trusted uploaders.But ive never come across a bad file on ISO or TPB
