I was weaned on a Phototron back in the late 80's so I am a firm believer in vertical lighting. I use a expanded version for the fun of it in a 32x24 spare closet only in the winter because it gives off a lot of heat. Its a 150 watt HPS hung horizontally with 2 4 foot 6 bulb T-5 fixtures (6500 K) hung vertically on each side with mylar on the back wall. I grow in soil in 5 gallon buckets. I get super dense flowers with this mixed spectrum. The plants are bathed in light from top to bottom. I veg about 2 weeks then flower. It's a bit of a waste but its a damn fun way to grow and it makes beautiful plants. I rotate a couple plants in and out and pull around 2 zips each plant per harvest of dense nugz.
