Anyone tried a clothes/tumble-dryer condenser on fan output?

Hey :)

So i've made a semi stealth box, just over 1m cubed... beans only just popped and i dont need to be all covert for a few weeks so i have time to work out the final details etc.

I'm looking at how i vent my air/humidity - the window in the room is double glazed so installing an extractor in the window will be a pain, and drilling a hole in the exterior wall for an outlet is also a butt-ache. These options may be taken up in a few months time, though.

The room i'm using does not have any easy access to other vent options (eg linking to bathroom/kitchen/loft etc) and while i don't have a small quarter light, i can keep the main window open a crack and be secure from break in's etc.

As i'm only semi stealth, i'm not concerned about air intake (open doors etc for fresh air), but i'm concerned about the moisture my grow will put out. I doubt the tiny crack made by having my window ajar would help much.

So has anyone tried tumble drier condensers?

i have used one of these for it's original purpose:

and it did not stop condensation, though it did collect some water... a grow will put out less steam ofc - any one have any experience/thoughts on these?

Another option may be this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/3743011100-Condenser-tumble-capacity-Plastic/dp/B000M381CO/ref=sr_1_6/254-3686502-5052151?ie=UTF8&qid=1476125775&sr=8-6&keywords=tumble+dryer+condensor+kit

Obviously both come with a certain amount of ball-ache but may provide an option over the next grow or two.

Obvs this is due to being on a budget. I should be doing about a 1m sq scrog under LED, dont know what the heat will be as the lights have not arrived yet, but they are chinese and cheap (yeps, i know....), so probs purdy hot.

Any thoughts etc would be most welcome, ta!

I dont think condensation is not going to be a problem, In my opinion The heat from the lights will take care of any excess moisture.

What I have found in my box is to keep up the humidity I have had to put a dish of water under the fan stream I put a rag in the water for wicking to raise it up. No need to spend on unneeded bits an pieces :leaf::peace::leaf:

Hey :) ta for the input

It's a bit of an unknown to me, my grows several years ago were under HID in a very different property. Friends' commercial grows produce a lot more airborne water but then the scale is different and they are not so big on attention to detail!

Luckily at home one can observe and experiment much more.. very much looking forwards to this getting underway, got a few cool/ghetto-esque diy projects linked to it, which for me are as much fun as the end product.

Totally agree on not always needing to spend too, my grow box (which doubles as a workshop table/fake tool and materials box) was entirely made from scrap and i'm bastardising a chest of drawers to hold my fan, maybe a condenser if needed, and raise (and possibly train) youngsters too :D
