Hey all growing in Canada here, first frost is approx. 4 weeks away. This is my first time growing so I am not sure, but pretty sure my girl is in her first week of flowering. Im building a greenhouse to protect from frost, and will hopefully extend the growing season. Here is a pic...

Plants look healthy - they'll be fine. Looks like they will finish nicely before frost.

man, them plant really took off on you it looks from the last time i seen em. make sure your greenhouse will be big enough for her, lol, they grow alot in flowering. she should be fine, its frost that kills plants and ruins buds, they can survive some pretty cool temps., make sure you insulate it for heat retention as best as you can.

I know its been growing out of control! I said I was going to stop tying her down awhile ago cause I thought she would stop growing, but I was wrong. I sure hope the greenhouse is big enough, Ill have to keep tying her down, and the greenhouse should protect her from frost. I will cover the ground all around the greenhouse with blankets to keep heat in the ground, and cover the greenhouse with a few blankets too. Ill wake up the next day early before sunrise, and take the blankets off slowly as the sun rises and starts hitting the greenhouse. And will put the blankets back up before the sun starts going down, to keep the heat in. I hope this will make it so I can extend the season atleast 2 weeks.

Anyone think its possible to extend season 2 more weeks past first frost date.

for sure, i used to work at a concrete plant and we had these *concrete blankets* that we put over my test samples so they would not go under 50f in temp overnight because it really fucks up the concrete setting and curing properly if it got under that. It was getting down to like 10-15f everynight outside and those blankets were enough to keep em in the proper range overnight.

Hehe its only one plant, but thanks. And concrete blankets you say, hmmm. Ill have to look into those.

The greenhouse should be up within the next week or two. Ill be putting two layers of plastic, and the whole top with be on a hinge to let out moisture/humidity. I think when she gets really cold out, ill put buckets in the greenhouse that will be filled to the top with boiling hot water and tops put on them. That should put out heat throughout the night. I was gonna give up on this girl when I heard she didnt have enough time to finish, but ill try my best to keep her goin for as long as possible.

Bumppp anyone else? My girl only started showing buds a day or two ago, first week of flowering. Buds are maybe size of pinky nail. Only 3.5 weeks till first frost. It got to a low of 7 last night! Getting some heavy purple on the stems. Should I dump my whole 1lb bag of high P bat guano on her in hopes she will take in all the nutrients and grow 3 inch diameter buds overnight? Hah jk but seriously will I have anything to smoke come harvest? Im hoping if I can beat the frost I will be able to have her flower for atleast 6 weeks.
