Have used sunshine mix; not too much different than ffof. What is the difference between pro mix HP and BX?…always thought these were soilless mediums; made of mostly coco. That stuff goes super hydrophobic. I'd stick with promix HP, or bx(not enough perlite in bx), or sunshine mix 4
Usable? Meh maybe, but not worth the problems imo when it's easy to get something better.
Literally just the amount of perlite. (hp has more). They are peat and perlite. Sunshine 4 is the same (peat). Promix makes a cc. Which is peat/coco/perlite. Never used it though.Have used sunshine mix; not too much different than ffof. What is the difference between pro mix HP and BX?…always thought these were soilless mediums; made of mostly coco.
The sunshine mix #4 advanced is peat/coco/perlite and added goodies. I use it all the time for DTW and it works great and pretty cheap considering that a single bale is 3CF and when unpacked becomes 6CF. Grow green has the best deals on it that I have foundLiterally just the amount of perlite. (hp has more). They are peat and perlite. Sunshine 4 is the same (peat). Promix makes a cc. Theres a wholesale greenhouse supply place near me that I’m getting the 1.5 cubic ft bags of FF ocean forest from for $13.64. Look for a place like that maybe. I can’t afford the retail cost some of the grow shops charge nowadaysWondering about this myself. They have this at my local Home Depot $20. Need some more base mix but hate going to “grow” stores. It is OMRI so how bad could it be? I plan to add EWC, a couple jobes spikes per pot, some chicken manure and xtra perlite if needed. Trying to build three mostly water only containers for a hassle free bloom phase….I usually get FFOF soil but it is now so overpriced
They make an advance #4 mix that comes in a black and yellow bale. That’s the ones I use. It’s pretty much same stuff just has coir added.
