Anyone mix LEDs and HPS?

I have a roughly 7x2 (might be longer) closet that currently has three LEDs- a 600w sandwiched between two 1000w LEDs. (Edit) I didn’t have them installed yet when I took the photos.)

I’m considering taking out the 600w and replacing it with either a 400w HPS or a couple more 1000w LEDs.

For what it’s worth, this closet previously ran 1200w HPS (three Hydrofarm 400w), and is plumbed for separate air cooled hood ventilation. I have the wrong size carbon scrubber and fan in there because I am dumb and can’t read, especially when I am high. I’ll replace it ASAP.

Thoughts?

btw enjoy some bonus pics of the best hydroponic lettuce I’ve ever grown, it was just beautiful. Delicious, too.

30w per ft2 is enough light with new leds especially if not providing extra co2. 7x2=14 ft2 14x30= 420 true watts is enough for that space.

just look at the true draw of those fixtures from the outlet and save your money to buy decent lights with proper heatsinks and quality diodes in the future imo.

Fair point, thank you.
Edit- I know I want one more 1000w LED light in there. There’s a noticeable gap between them that needs better coverage.
Performance wise I’m pretty happy with these lights so far, but to be fair I have only grown a single crop of lettuce with them.
