A few quick questions to the more experienced. From plant to rosin, what sort of yields do you get doing this? And can you run the material multiple times?
Dang that's 9%+. That's both runs combined? Do you know off the top of your head what the yield difference was between the 1st run and the 2nd?I literally just finished a run. Firstly when it comes to end yields it's quality in quality out.
I ran a pound of fresh frozen and got back 42 grams. "But" I only keep 25,73 and 90. The rest I chuck out. Secondly I only did 2 runs and mix by hand. So do consecutive runs. But if it starts getting greener than shut er down. This is solely my opinion. The more runs you do you will dial in the right mixture and outcome of quality dankness.
Good luck
I've seen Frenchy's video, it's good stuff. I'll look through that thread too. Just looking for real-life examples of yield numbers. I'm going to be getting started doing this myself, but in the meantime I also deal with other pre-established rosin makers in my area. Want to make sure I understand the norms or averages for yield to avoid getting ripped off.Check here and watch the Frenchy video, lots of good info.
