If you want that catatonic high wait till they 10 percent amber. If you want a more uplifting high do it earlier on. Trying to find the articles but I think a lot of this is more bro science than anything. I have always found it to be a lot more strain dependant than anything else for the actual effects. I just find if you get it to the sweet spot, wherever that may be for you, is the best time to harvest. The strains gonna perform the way it performs, nailing the harvest time just helps improve it doing its job naturally. also like you mentioned, not all strains will amber up. same way some strains will keep throwing fresh pistils no matter how done it is. YOu just gotta make a judgement call at some point and hope youre right.
