Anyone good at guestimating yield??

Well this is my first "BIG" hydro grow, i grew two hydros before this as a test run, im using the DWC method, i have 16 plants all in there own bucket. I rigged the buckets my self using a rubber grommet and plastic tubing from home depot, these plant vegged for exactly 34 days. they went straight from clone into the bucket with the exception of 2. Ive topped them every 5-6 days or whenever i saw new branches grow, ive been using canna coco part A and B for the most part with a little fox farm grow big and a little great shark for the roots, im in week 3 of flower right now, ive started using monster bloom and i added a drop of pk booster today, not much just a little to get them ready for it in a few weeks. I originally had 3 1000w lights running over top, they bushed out pretty big, much bigger than i anticipated so i added two more 600 watts just for extra lighting hanging at a slight angle, I was having issues with heat due to the high temps so i added booster fans and im exhausting the hot air from the hoods out to the chimney so now its about 76 degreets above the canopy and about 69 degrees on the cement floor. 2-3 top branches got slightly burned from being right under the hood so i kind of rigged them down a little and now with the side light there just fine, im looking to get 5 pounds at least, im hoping for more. Can anyone tell me what there thinking this yield may be? Some one experienced with hydro and also and good nutes for bloom in hydro besides monster bloom? i usually use that with soil and its also, oh yeah i recently added a touch of molasses to the water as well. so here's the scoop again, 16 hydros, dwc method, all lollipopped, 4200 watts of hps beamed on them.. any guesses on yield?mail.google.com.jpeg mail.google.com11.jpeg mail.google.com111.jpeg mail.google.com2.jpeg 222.jpeg

about a pound?

Just 1 pound? i know its gonna be much more than a pound, ive grew a pound before no problem from 6 plants and they were as big as these were. they were topped pretty good, from soil i can average about 3-4 ounces per plant, sometimes less sometimes more.

Youre going get lots of "about a pound"

Its the standard answer here ...from thise who will say there is too many factors and such...

And they are right. It is difficult to say.

I will say that for what you described, if everything goes well for you, probably close to 4 zips per plant....

Not to be a dick but if you already grew a pound from 6 plants "as big as these" than you should be good at giving your own guess-timation, Yield is always determined by 25% genetics 75% environment, thats why i always say grow to get the best quality, not the best quantity!

About a pound... If your lucky!

Lol

Seriously, you should go get a trellace net and spread it all out as much as possible.

Those lights seem a little high?
That an 8 week strain?

anyways it's very hard to answer your question, there's lots of factors, depends on your skills. Few lbs...

I just so happen to have my 4200 watt grow skill assessment chart on hand, it says that...

# of lbs=

0 lbs if they die from root rot right now
1 lbs if they die from root rot week 5
2 lbs if you harvest early
3 lbs if you have the minimum skills required to be in the riu club
4 lbs if you're catching on and learnin shit
5 lbs is what I could do easy
6 lbs now you got the hang of it
7 lbs your all grown up
8 lbs damn you got me
9 lbs i wanna see pics
10 lbs your a fucking liar, unless its fresh

did you even read the post before you commented? 8 week?? hell no!! They just turned 3 weeks old as of today, they cover a 20-7 area, there pretty wide. They wont die from root rot, there pretty well taken care of and the roots still look nice and healthy, 10 pounds isnt possible right now but im thinking about 4-5. There a lot bigger than they look in the picture i can take a better pic to show you, each plant has about 16-32 tops. i grew soil, 6 soil a few months back not even as big as these, all with about 9 tops and got a little over a pound. i have 16 dwc's much bigger and much healthier, there looking good as hell for a week 3. but ill post a better pic of 1 of them. your a real smart ass lol.. but i did find it quite funny Oh yeah the lights arent high at all i think its the angle, the top ones got a little burned at first so i raised them a little i used measuring tape to check and there about a foot and a half from the light which is fine with me, there 1000 watts and there recommened at 2 feet away. i try to get them as close as possible without heat issues, the weather has been pretty cool lately to so it feels lovely down there.

No this is the thing, im not a newbie at growing, ive done soil for years. this is my first hydro set up. Ive given myself a estimation of between 4-5 pounds. And thats not over doing it or under doing it. They'll yield pretty good, i always get a high yield from my white widow. same with my ladyburn and amnesia haze.

4-5 lbs? Are we talking wet-weight? I have 16 plants under 4 600w and I'll get two+ lbs....and my plants are bigger than the one's in the picture.

I'm not trying to be negative about your grow....it looks great...I'm just not seeing anywhere near 4-5 lbs.

Looks good man. You did a nice job setting all that up. I'm not a hydro guy, but I'll go with an estimate of between 1 to 10 pounds. That is assuming no catastrophic events. Looking at your grow your own estimate is probably as good as anyone else's. You appear to know what you're doing.

No not wet weight, dry weight. I took a few more pics just for you. lol.. The first picture is a picture that i took of a plant that i got 32 grams off of, my buds are usually rock hard dense, ive been growing this same strain for a while now. The second picture is a few buds from that grow. The next picture will be a picture of one of the flowering plants i have now, today marks the first day of week 3. all the plants on average are about the size, my lady burn in the middle section are actually shorter but there wider and they have more tops, thats the last picture. i just cant see myself pulling just 1 pound im not expert but i know what to expect in terms of yield. lol ive never grew any flimsy buds, there all usually rock hard dense and there usually big as hell, like the other guy said as long as nothing goes terribbly wrong ill pull a few pounds. when its all trimmed and dried come harvest time ill put up pics of wet and dry weight for you guys. the last few pics are just extras. but thanks for the feed back20150325_141917.jpg 20150408_005508.jpg 20150808_182455.jpg 20150808_151438.jpg 20150808_151458.jpg 20150325_141917.jpg 20150408_005508.jpg 20150808_182455.jpg 20150808_151438.jpg 20150808_151458.jpg 20150325_141917.jpg

4-6 elbows, probably strain dependent, is very doable if all goes well. But are the last two pics in first post the same as above? Sort of confusing as the ones above look denser.

I was showing him one of my 1 ounce plants in soil, i was trying to make a point that i know what a one ounce plant looks like and the ones im flowring now are gonna be 3-4 ounces +/- the on in soil in the gray bucket was week 8 about to get harvested, the ones at the top still have 6 weeks left to flower but its the same strain, im sure there gonna be very dense. The oranges looking pics are the ones flowering now. week 3 today.
