Anyone flowered under a MH?

Has anyone flowered bud under a metal halide? If you have how was the bud, im guessing not very dense, but pictures would be great thanks!

yes you can most definately flower under a mh. some people say the buds will be smaller than an hps but even more dense. this is all speculation and opinion but a mh will definately flower a plant.

I use a 1000w mh all the way through.

not with the mh. I changed form cfl maybe a month or month and a half ago. I didnt take the plants that are done all the way through with the mh. What i did see is that the buds are a million times tighter than cfl. I did have like 6 or 700 watts of cfl too.
In ed rosenthals book it says that mh is just as good for flowering as hps. I dont know if this is true. Not trying to argue about it. marijauna can grow in the jungle with no winter, so it makes sense either way.
One single plant, that only produced one big cola, came in at 87.5 grams wet. This is a 24 inch or less plant. Rock hard.
But sorry , no pics. It will work good though. And even if you do go MH, you can get bulbs in the range you want.THe sunmaster series is what i use.

it doesnt seem as bad as everyone makes it out to be, thanks for the knowledge acres. I dont know what kind i have i got it out of like a spot light. Its a Sylvania 100w METALARC,M90,R,MP100/U/MED.... know if its a good spectrum? haha

people will argue and dispute anything you do. everyone thinks they know how to do things better than what you do. many different ways to achieve the same results.

damn those look good man, do you know a light fixture i could get that would work with a sylvania 100 watt mh that isnt a ballast, it has the regular light socket type but it doesnt work with it.

i have no clue cain... i didnt even know they made 100w mh. just wait around, someone will be able to answer your question.

I have grown several times using 1000 watt MH systems all the way through and you can get big dense buds. The sodium bulbs will increase yield and density. But Ive seen huge dense coloas with MH only.
I havent tried it with less than 1000 watt lights, so I cant say how it would work with less wattage.
So dont be afraid to try a MH only grow.
