anyone ever use oil dry for planting?

Look into Al's gritty mix recipe. I've never used it but I've seen it mentioned here and there. 1/3 of the mix is Turface (similar to oil dry). Not all oil dry products have the same make up.

True. You want the unscented if you are buying kitty litter. My buddy works at a plant where they make it. Every few weeks they pull out a few bag for testing. After the samples are taken, he will try grab me a couple bags.

it actually works really fuckin good, look up a site called tomatoville, there's a bunch that use it there, i used it for a long time both as a seed starter and a DWC netpot filler. IMO the oil dri worked better than jiffy

make sure its composed of either diatomaceous earth or fullers earth

i don't have any...just curious
every time i talk to a friend of mine he brings it up he swears by it

My mom is growing citrus plants so she made up a bunch of Als 1 1 1 gritty mix. Im really interested in trying it for my plants. Ive been wanting to grow soiless but im scared due to my lack of experience. I have coco choir but this stuff just really has me interested. Has anyone grew in it before? What was your experience with it? I hate knowing i have access to it and ai t atleast trying it

no haven't had any at my disposal yet would like to experiment with it.. I'm still trying to find a mix that works with different stuff i find in the woods but i think if uhave to have a certain type nutes when growing with coco so I'm not too sure but i would only try it if you have a few extra plants at your disposal
