Hey guys. Going into week like 7 1/2 of flower and wanna do something to frost em up for the next week an a half or 2. I want to give them more time in the dark without taking away time from the light. So I figured if I manually change it I can give it 12 hrs light 14 darKness. Anyone ever try this? Anyone have a reason this may harm my plants? Any insight appreciated. Gonna add some shots

Plants Need like 1-2 hrs to revert pFr to pr, then the actual night time beginns.
This happens automatically in darkness.
You could try using some far red 730nm leds at the end of the 12hr light cycle.
This will manually Speed up this process which then results in longer night time even if the timer stays at 12 12

Usually you would do this to increase actual light "on" time. E.g. a cycle of 12/10 or 12/11

Yep 12/12 with a 730 nm flower initiator and the plants think their on 12/14. You also need 660 nm in your main lights to quickly change the plants back to their daytime state.

your biggest problem when you set your timer to "Manual" the manual timer (you) is not as reliable as the automatic one. then the 12/14 experiment becomes a new post that looks like this

"I fell asleep and forgot to turn the lights off, will she hermie?"
