being more succeptable to turning hermie than other strains? ( I bet you guys thought I was asking if you heard of white widow in general huh haha) seriously though I got a buddy that says he heard the strain is one of which that feminized seed or not has more potential to turn hermie. Im going with Myth on this one but would like other opinions

Not sure, but I thought hermie was due to stress, too long of flowering time, too hot temps. Ive also heard that feminized seeds herm up too, because thats how they're made (look it up, you use pollen from a male flower off a hermie plant to pollinate the female seeds to make em)

but you probably knew that...

hahaha got ya guys! seriously though Ive had a few widow grows my last one was with fem seeds from nirvana and they were doing phenominal and 3 weeks before harvest I found effen seeds. Wasnt happy needless to say so I chopped em down early. My current grow is white widow but not from fem seeds so we will see, my buddy just prob wanted to get me all worked up becasue he knows how pissed I was the last time. Anyways just wanted to see if possibly this strain was more succeptible to stress therefore more succeptible to turning hermie. We will see though, I started a journal as well so I guess you guys will see too

Its possible the batch of seeds you have are bad but it is also possible that another batch of seeds will produce plants that take a lot to hermie.

If the breeder who is producing feminized seeds knows what they are doing they will choose plants that take the longest to herm. As their boy/girl.

The seeds came from nirvana (nirvana-shop) I never stressed them once either, heres a pic of the last white widow, you can tell that there is no stress going on by looking at the damn plant yet they still hermied. Although those seeds are gone as well, I got some white widow from Cafe Blue Sky in Oakland, Ca. Very reputible dispensary, only one I know of with legit genetics.

Thank you for your replys

Pretty much every plant hermies on a long enough time line. Its just a matter of survival, you also have to keep that in mind. And light schedules early in in the flowering period are most important factor that couldn't be seen in that picture...

Almost all indoor strains hermi easily if you fuck with the lighting, food, and ph levels. For the most part though white widow should be a pretty stable strain.

I've grown White Widow for 7+ years now.... Same plant actually, as I clone, but FROM MY EXPERIENCE the myth may be right. Twice now I've deliberately herm'ed a clone to use the pollen on a normal clone. No problems either time, and to my knowledge, all the seeds that germed frim this were female. (Gave away a lot that I never heard about)

Very true on the light schedule thing, obviously I have no way of proving that but my lights are on timers and never had any issues. I could see PH possibly fluxuating a bit becuase I use liquid testers which Ive found are not so reliable I just havent gone digital yet. Thanks bus mike for your response. In your experience what does your strain like the most? Topped, FIMMED, or left alone and which yielded the most. The widow i posted above was topped and it yielded the most for me. 3 zips I believe it was

Mine were close to week 8 when I found the seeds. They were starting at the bottom and working there way up. When I harvested all of em had seeds some were worse than others though.
