Anyone ever have a new plant sprout from root?

Outdoors especially when I snip nodes its like 4 leaf clover below with little weed plants. Resilient little fuckers they are.

It was an auto from mephisto. Maybe there was a seed dropped but it should have sprouted sooner. This plant didn't show until I sawed the plant down and left the stump
