i did a little reading on the crystals to see if it was possible to use them...one site claims that they are potassium based and break down as fertilizer instead of salt...they also claim to protect plants for 5 years...just thought i would pass along the links...anyone actually used them?

get the liquid and make your own gel buckets----you can make them as small as a cup with a comp fan or you can even go beyond 55 gallon---a friend of mine made one with a 55 and used a small squirrel cage blower on top---takes 50 gallon of water---one gallon of ona and half a bag of soil moist crystals.
