It gets pretty damn hot here. It has already hit 97 in the spring. These few plants will be an experiment. If they handle the heat then I will continue to grow in coco. We will see what happens. I have seen a grow with 110 degree temps in coco coir. You just need to shade them at the hottest point in the day is what I was told.

and probably water and feed a lot ? outdoors good soil is just as effective with less work ?

I just wanted to give it a go and see what difference it will make, if any. Might be worse, because of our heat waves. Only time will tell. I will definitely document it though.

ive done coco indoors and it goes well if you stay on it. it is touchy though. 5.8-6.0 ph works well for me. i use the bluelab meter its the only one i can find that stays accurate. i noticed coco i need to water more so if your in a hot spot outdoors, you will probably have to water like hell.have you thought about sunshine mix4?

I have only used cheap potting soil up until now. What is sunshine mix? is this promix or something of that nature?

i think sunshine mix4 is similar to promix. or the same thing? ive used it many times indoors with great success and i like it better than coco. its just peatmoss and perlite and dolomite lime . i dont have to water as much with it as coco and i seem to have less deficiency problems.

have you tried the hanna combo pen? I love mine...it's almost 5 years old...

Hello everyone, I grow using coco and find things much easier than soil, in fact, it's hard to screw things up.
My only concern is if I must feed a+b constantly, regardless of veg or flower, how do I treat my cuttings without nuking them?
