Anybody Collect Anything?

I buy and resell vintage and antique jewelry, and sometimes I find myself keeping pieces I like. I'm getting quite a collection. Here are some of them.
These are some antique Buddha, Bodhisattva pieces that nobody at the auction wanted. I got them for 15 each. They're handmade on a brass base, but the gemstones are real. There's amber, coral mother of pearl, ruby, etc. Each gemstone has a meaning. The positions of the figures, hand placement, etc, all have some meaning attached.





This is an old Victorian watch fob and locket. The locket has a lock of hair in it, and two pictures. One is a guy who looks dead to me. This was called memento mori and was common at the time. The other picture is really blurry, but appears to be three naked ladies.






Here are some bugs. The first one is from the 30's the other is Victorian, probably from 1880's. It's silver,citrine, and amethyst.


This is my daughter's vintage pendant. She took it from me.

i collect all sorts of crap, mostly all car / race car related, strange as that maybe..

anything from redline hot wheels, to corgi's, and some newer hot wheels stuff if it appeals to me.. also plastic model kits of mostly formula one cars and some can / am stuff as well..

There are actually a lot of people who collect what you do, racer. Got any pics?

I collect marijuana seeds.......I think right now I own something like 67 strains. I guess it's an addictive hobby.

i collected bottle caps for a really really long time ^^. Beside that i gues i collect cannabis seeds LOL

I guess I collect old abandon ware games, too, because I certainly have enough of them on my damn hard drive.

I collect old books and magazines. Have the first edition Sports Illustrated, a 1964 Playboy, A copy of Oliver Wendell Holmes The Autocrat of the Breakfast Table, made for a private library in Connecticut.

I love old books, the way they smell. I know everybody likes to read on kindle nowadays, but I think you just can't beat an actual book in your hands. That reminds me, I was going to order Beautiful Losers by Leonard Cohen off of amazon.

I collect scabs. Mine, other people's.. got quite a collection going. Every now and i then I eat a few, throw them on a pizza or salad. Everyone has their hobbies.

I collect hair, but Sometimes I get rid of it.

yeah, not too far from my house is a local flea market. thursdays are the more antique day while sundays tend to be more of let's say, yard sale type of stuff.. i get a lot of my stuff there on thursdays, as well as a bunch of other spots..

i'll have to look around for some pix though stoney, but i'll post some for sure when i find them..

I collect used condoms mostly other people's.
