I had a plague of toads when I lived my a pond. The ground would move like black brown liquid and was really a sight to be seen. It must have spread for the entire length of the 50yard shoreline. I remember taking a break from the reefer for a few month and then sitting in the garden and taking a puff of my new harvest. Had a good trippy few minutes staring at wasps and toads. Nature is wonderfully entertaining.I love toads! They show up in my garden and are more than welcome to eat the buggies there. I put out an upside down flower pot with some moss in it last year as a toad house, no takers yet haha
Is the pot within range of your sprinkler? It may help keep it cool enough for them to stay. They love the dripping faucet in the shady part of the back yard. I think adults are nocturnal.
