Any suggestions for the space i have avalible???

what kind of lighting should i use for a wooden grow box thats 12"x9"x30"

12 length by 9 width by 30 height?

can spend 50-60$ max. plant will be staying in this through out its whole life.

probly a flashlight unless you vent it then you could put 1 or 2 cfl's .

what do you think this isnt enough room for one plant that i plan to vegg for about like 25 days

no but its not enough space for MH or HPS light.

throw in as big a CFL as you can keep cool

what would you suggest? like 2, 27w daylights? should that do it?

I currently have two 23 watt cfl's that are around 1600 lumens. They are 6500k.

My grow space is about a 1' by 1' by 33".

I've been growing for almost three weeks and the lights are working fine for it so far.

When I flower I have the same cfl's but they are 2700K instead.

I'll probably end up using four lights instead of two to make my plant happy.

i would do 2 of the 23 or 27 w 6500 for veg.
then 2 of the 2700 for flower.
provide plenty of venting and keep an eye on your temps.

why do you guy drop the kelvins in flower stage ? i'm planingon a 1000w hps throught out is that bad? sorry for the Jack

no its not that its bad it will work fine.its just that with the higher kelvin during veg the plant will stay shorter and more compact. an hps will work fine for the whole grow.

could heat be a real threat here if im only using 2 cfls, like 23 watt, do i NEED ventilation, i might be able to add a little but not much. and would a fan help keep the heat down?

your still gonna need an exhaust fan and a passive intake, even with the cfl's. also the plants need a good supply of fresh air. a computer fan may be all you need.
another one could be the circulation fan inside the box, helps with cooling, keeping mold away, and helps strenghthen the plants.

alright thanks, ill probably get a computer fan, i dont have alot of space dont forget.

I don't have a lot of space either and i took apart the power supply from an old computer to get a fan. you could also take the cpu fan all you need is a little common sense to not zap yourself. Short the capacitors first so they aren't holding a charge in the power supply.

yeah im going to wind up buying a comp fan they are cheap as it is,
