I thought ruderalis came from places that naturally receive 24 hours of light per day at some times of the year, which is where the auto-flowering adaptation came from. Are you talking alaska? That's the only US state that gets 24 hours light at any time. I highly doubt indians (the native american type, not the call center workers) were smoking 1% ditch weed in their peace pipes but maybe I'm wrong.
