any soil +/- coco 1 gal pot SOG grows?

I use Royal Gold Tupur. It’s impossible to overwater. But as the plants get rootbound, they drink a lot more and need to be fed 2-3 a day. Most I’ve done is 5 ozs with 4 weeks veg in one gallon pot.
