I am fond of Gravlabs. I believe they made beakers and such before bongs and pipes. Good product.

I fond brand name bongs sometimes lower quality that our locally made ones (lots of artists trying to be noticed)
lots of crap out there, but locally blown would be where id start. You can usually commission a piece direct from the artist for a decent price as glass is cheap and most of the markup you see in stores is for retail profit.
That's where id start if you find any local artists, or sometimes a smoke shop has in house artists and can do special orders and pipe repairs.
What I got right now is only stamped MIO (made in Oregon) but it is pretty nice. Very flush glass on glass joints. Tastefully decorated. hits like a bat

i don't really know any local artists though... and i don't really want anything flashy, just Fully Functional.!
