Well I'm bored so I'm gonna do a little profile. If this is a bad place for this maybe a mod can move my post?
Got everything in July 1. Those are 45 gallon smart pots with promix. Used no additive amendments from the get go and have primarily used Botanicare products for nutrients.
These first two are a lemon strain, lemon haze i believe. They were very small to the point where there was a slight concern about putting them outside but they handled it. Was told they will finish rather late and this is actually the pilot for this strain outside.
While they are growing and somewhat healthy I still feel as if something has held them back. I'm hoping they are about to take off with some good veg growth before they turn. These plants, the first one in particular, have been most susceptible to some unknown pest which I have never caught in the act. I have perhaps naively, been trying to use a method of plant health over any spray on pest product, ie... the idea that if you provide for all needs of the plant it will produce it's own secondary compounds to ward of pests or disease. Anyway...the problem has lessened and I hope to see no more defoliation. They do have a very bright color to them but I'm hopefully chalking that up to different strain/timing rather than problems.
These next three are all supposed to be the same strain and phenom of blueberry though one of them seems different to me (the third one grows a bit different and is a hair behind) . 5 weeks ago when they went they were about the same size as the above lemons. They've had no topping recently (maybe initialy) and a bunch of LST.
Just yesterday when these photos were taken they were given their second week of bloom feed. In addition to the botanicare products they've all been given Orca mycorrhizae and the last two weeks a light dose of molasses. There are greenhouse material covers for each setup, thus rainfall has been controlled. The plants have been only watered once every 6 days, along with the nutrient feeding. The soil has never really 'dried out' but I don't think I'm over watering at just over 5 gallons a week.
Here is the last plant, an MOB the furthest along of any ...
All the plants are turned with the less filled out side turned south west towards the afternoon sun but this plant needs to fill out in that regard the most.
Any input or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks for checking it out.
