your post and fdd's lures remind me of my grand dad. he was a game warden in PA. him and my dad would take a trip to canada every year to go fishing. my dad has like 6 tackles boxes full of lures for like muskies, pike and gar from my grandfather.the tackle boxes must be like 50 years old. the lures are like 6 inches long. they said the flies(i guess black flies?)would get terrible. my dad said they were the best times ever. just camping and fishing all day.

interested in passing some of those my way? we could work something out. does your dad smoke herb?:blsmoke:

:mrgreen:hey Chester....those GTRs are awesome. its a real fad right now to have RHD cars from Japan here, a variety of GTRs though none of the really sweet ones. Whaddaya think of the new one - just shown at Tokyo? and there's a racing version that really looks killer. Mechanical symphony and automotive art - I remember I went to a F1 race at Brands Hatch in 1986 and the wail of those engines - brings the hairs on end on the back on my neck - and today - the current F1 V8s that wind up to 19000rpm - totally amazing. I see they just released a FXX Evoluzione in modena this weekend - 860hp - how insane is that and then there the story of the Swiss guy that had an FXX legalized for road use - just what everyone needs a $2.5M road car! oh, and did you see the pre-release pics of the Cuda version of the new Challenger? complete with shaker hood 'n all. it looks really cool. :hump:Shit....I am so obsessed with cars....I need help!!:blsmoke:

Oh boy... this whole growing thing is just one thing in a laundry list of over the top hobbies I have...

Cars (VW R32, I am a VW nut, have had well over a dozen)
Bikes (I have a custom carbon road bike, a tweaked BMX bike and a Maverick)
RC (Nitro only planes and trucks/buggies)
Fishing (oh man I love to fish)
Growing Plants
Custom part manuf.
SEO
Sales

All these things I have done and still do (plus more) I just have this TERRIBLE tendency to go big or go home. It can be a PITA sometimes (she hates when I spend too much money on (insert hobby here) but it keeps my mind alive!

Good to know there are some other enthusiests on this site. Nice car dude. Any mods or is it all original?Peace
This car is almost original. Paint, upholstery, engine, tranny, all original. I've rebuilt as much as possible without replacing with new. I have done upgrades on the suspension, but that's about it. When these cars were in production they were fondly called "the poor man's Ferrari. Its a great driver. My daughter and son-in-law are really into cars. I'm working on them to install a lift at their place. (so I can use it) Its getting hard to roll around under a car. I'll be 60 in four months. Isn't there a law about working under a car after age 60.

  • I read/collect comics and have an issue 1 phantom, every issue 1 to the original marvel 2099 saga, an underrated spin off in the early 90's.
  • I love wood working.
  • computers (until I had a break down a few weeks ago I worked in IT for 6years)
  • I build/refurbish arcades as one of many side incomes.
  • I make bonsai starter kits for sale on ebay and to local nursery's as another side income this seasons crop is jacaranda trees.
  • I collect businesses, yeah I'm a capitalist, I know. I have 6 so far, although at 21 its getting stressful so I'm hiring managers to worry about things and staying in Europe for a year. (send me a PM if you wanna meet up and smoke a few in Amsterdam next year!)

i want a tortoise but i'm not sure if i can commit to something like that. they live a looooooong time. i'd have to build an indoor pen for the winter time. i'm going to buy a tortoise book this week and do some research. we have looked into several pets like this in the past. we always buy just the books first. so far all we have is a stack of books.

They are easy! Just remember they need vitamin D supplements if they are going to process calcium indoors, outside the sun does it for them.If you don't do it your tortoise will get lumpy unmovable fused joints.Other than that just research foods and environment for which species you choose and go for it.:peace:
