I'm using this soil...LINK
that looks like a decent soil. I wouldn't feed them until they start to show you theyre hungry, especially if youre using that same soil in the 10 gal pots. if those oldest leaves start to lighten/yellow, then I would give them some tea. theres no telling how long that will take, (watering habits, strain, etc.) but she will tell you what she needs.

Your plants look fine to me. Healthy and green. I wouldn't feed them yet. I have had bad experiences with nute burn this early. I wait till the lowest leaves start to yellow then give them a light nutrient feeding at 1/4 strength then keep bumping it up from their until I see the yellowing stop or the slightest of leaf tip browning. Then I back it off a tad and, wala! I have found the right nutrient to water ratio.

Not to be argumentative, but I don't see the point in letting the plant get to the point of yellowing/dying leaves.

Preventative maintenance goes a long way. IMHO a quarter strength tea wouldn't come close to burning them.

I say they are in good shape.

How many hours of direct sunlight do they get?
They get direct sun from about 9:30 until probably around 4:00 or so. And after that they still get a bit of sun that peeks through the branches of these big pain in the ass maple trees. I've cut off all the branches I can reach, but I'm going to have to bring in a pro to have them 'rubbed out'. I'd do it myself, but I'm 100% certain that I would destroy my house and probably die in the process.
