any one running 2700k with 6500k

I just don't see any reason for it. Straight 3000k or 3500k just works too damn well.

If I was going to run 6500K at all during flower, I would only have it turn on for the middle 4 hours of the day and that is it.
I'm doing this with 5000k, It comes on for 8 hours out of the 12.So far I must say I'm noticing more frost around the buds vs my previous run with just 3500k. No scientific proof or anything but I feel it mimics nature more naturally.

the only reason im looking into this is because of the Evolve EV700 https://www.progrowtech.com/evolve-series/ they run both at the same time with some 660nm and they recon that with both going its close to a 4000k and also you can turn the blues up during veg and and reds down etc so allows for more option for tweaking the grow

im prob going to look into making some pcbs like theirs but they do seem to have more 6500k than 2700k (looks like samsung lm301b leds )by about 30 leds i think !
Rarther than a equal split , i was just wondering why this might be ?, is it to do with the fact they are adding the 660nm red (osram oslon ssl) or that 6500k produces more light ?

I ran 5700K for veg for a few weeks, trimmed and fimmed, growth was slow and dense (took waaay too long), switched to 3000K {EB strips gen 1} (200 watts of each available in test rig, both fully dimmable) scrog growth accelerated like crazy, but about 3000K for scrogging seems about right "stretch wise". Flipped to 12/12 and went to 100% 5700K for the first two weeks of flower (an attempt to control stretch after flip, but ended up stunting growth, plus some PH problems due to irregular watering, my bad). 3000K for the rest, now at last weeks of harvest/flush and at 100% 5700K, trying to increase terps etc. just to see, next run with the same strain may prove some different flavours given different lighting/time recipes. I think; at least. I see no point in combining two different colour temps in a rig if you cannot switch between them at equal powers to influence growth.

I am harvesting from the scrog as needed and letting the younger stuff underneath come in. I think I have pulled about 40 grams already (dried consumable, oh and I vape so I haven't done a long cure, only the really pristine buds go to jar.) I have dried in the tent and then scissored the buds, decarboxylated in the oven for 15 min 115F, and vaping that and its not harsh imo, and its killllllling me, lol. From plant to vapable in 24 hours. That is impressing me, I am somewhat new to desktop vaping. I did try drying and vaping without decarb and while it worked and I wouldn't say it was harsher particularly, it had a greeny taste, but after decarbing it, I give it a potency boost of 10-15% even with vaping; which at 221c/430f should be more than enough, so maybe my rig Airizer Extreme Pro, dunno. Dont care. lol. Did 4 bags yesterday afternoon, not in a row lol, had to have...a 4 hour nap and woke up still stoned out of my gourd at 6pm. huh wat happened???

one freshly cut and one that was of the approx same size about to go to cure. sticky like crazy

Strain is Big Bud, and really I should have had buds double that size at least, just me screwing around and experimenting. So 1 gram per watt is totally reasonable with that strain under almost anything LED I would think. I fig I will come in around .6gpw , plus a good amount of oil from pops/trim. I am way happy, and am already vaping the stuff and this shit will make you wanna slap yo mamma! I totally recommend the strain for indoor LED. Shit is bulky and resinous and wow, just wow. Lots of body stone to it tho, be warned. also, low odour, very nice.

This was I think the beginning of Jan. Already seeing soil PH issues in the upper right corner, I was able to rescue it , funny thing was the flowers that got stressed in that back corner, went frosty like it was friggin Christmas and ultimately got harvested first. So definitely stresses can and will produce rapid oil creation and maturation under white LED. The harvest is still ongoing, I just keep checking trichomes and clipping. Once the major canopy is harvested I will take all the popcorn stuff for oil/butter.

I think at this point if you are going to scrog maybe 3000K is the best choice. Otherwise 3500K. Maybe, dunno, just throwing it out there.

My only issue at this point is the density of the buds, while the biggest are nice and hard there is a lot of larfy stuff, I am hoping that the addition of 385nm UVA will help stress and harden the buds better for the next run. {rebuild light time}
