Thanks for the kind words man ! Second grow . First time indoors. As for mediums , sadly I just run the fox farm oceanic blend straight up . I haven’t started mixing soil additives. Just the fox farm trio line nutrients . I heard Gia green has incredible stuff . There is a guy on YouTube I watch a lot mrcanuck he very fond of gia. But anyway , I’m definitely sitting comfy with 4 of those lights for that space . I’m not under powered ?
Going by wattage you have plenty of power in that space. I say 35 to 50 watts per square foot but guys like Renfro say you are fine with 30 watts per square foot. He is way more experienced than I so I would take his word over mine. With 4 of those lights you have 37.5 watts per square foot so more than enough. You have the versatility of being able to move lights up and down so that will be helpful. I have and HLG 600 Rspec for light in my 4x4 and the plants love it. It's only set at 50% right now in veg. Will slowly move to full power over course of a week or so when flowering starts. Start low, easier to turn them up than it is to deal with light burn. Also keep in mind that when I switched from HPS to LED my plants started needing twice the food. You got some stuff to dial in, mistakes will be made, don't sweat them. Do some experimenting with things as you go and it time you will have it all worked out.

For the spread and height control. 4 smaller fixtures can be run closer, and lower with better spread
LEDs don't spread light like you think. They shoot more of a direct beam downwards unless you're using those weird globe shaped ones. I've been growing with Mars Hydro for almost 2 years now and I've had the 1000 and 2000 panels your not going to get more light coverage you're just if anything going to have more dead spots. The Mars Hydro aren't that powerful you have to hang them pretty close to the canopy.

I've since upgraded to Growers Choice ROI-E720 fixtures and the same applies, it doesn't put out a barreling or rolling light like HPS/CMH does its way more uniform and directly downwards.

Little confused.. May be high.
Sounds like you are agreeing, and you also believe more fixtures are better than a single high powered one in a tent type grow space

I think its totally preference at this point but I was not agreeing with more coverage being achieved with more fixtures at the asme amount of power as 2 fixtures in the same tent. If it's a 4x8 tent the 2000 TSW panels cover a 4x4 area, how would adding 4 1000w lights that cover a 2x4 area mean "more"?

That would be like instead of getting a commercial dehumidifier such as a Quest Dual 225 you buy 4 walmart 70 pint consumer grade dehumidifiers to make up for the lacking Commercial dehumidifier.

I know we're talking lights but its the same concept when it comes to LEDs unless you're finding 4 slightly more powerful lights or perhaps 4 lights that have the globe style LED light where its more of a projection than a solid formal beam downwards.

The 2000 TSW is not enough light for a 4x4. You can use it, but it'll be way underlit.

With 4 fixtures you get more coverage versatility. That is the key. You cannot raise of lower half of at 2000 but you can raise and lower each 1000.

Yep, and the spread is more even with 4 vs 2. I have both the HLG 135's and 260's. 2 of the 135's gives more even spread in my 2x4 tent than a single 260. Plus the advantage of being able to raise them and adjust the dimmers individually.

Yea I did purchase 3 more, because I already have one ts1000. So it’s a total of 4 ts 1000 in a 48”x48”x80” .

So if I’m in veg at roughly 2 weeks in change . What height and what power percentage should I have it turned down to . Right now I’m 30 inches away and have it at full power . On 2 plants .

Do you have CO2 in there? because without it your plants can only use a certain amount of light before it's all just being wasted.
