I t is hard to say ever, especially without pics and an idea of what you did for topping and training.

Under similar lighting, with each plant having approx. ten tops, I pull about 1.5 oz per plant fully dried, no trim, most major stem removed.

I just moved to LED because CFLs are a pain during flower to keep the lights right on all the tops. But they work fine for growing personal. I def have more bud than I can smoke!

Im using a bit more than 400w, and I wouldn't grow any more than 2 at a time, they are both 2 foot tall also.
click my sig 'first cfl grow' to see what I've been doing with 400 watts.
Topping and training is a must.

I grew some kick ass lettuce under cfls. The problem with week lights is not that they can't work it is that they only have a 10-12 inch of usable light. If you put 10 26w cfl per s.f. your plants will kick ass but you would want to keep them under 18" single toppers. You will never look back as soon as you get a 1k or 600

This. If you are a cfl grower- LST and scrog are your friends. I was scrogging 32x22" and pulling 6 ounces from each grow. Didn't really matter the number of plants- I never got more than 8 or less than 5. I was using 2 64 watt 2700k and 2 80 watt 5500k bulbs in a fixture and reflector I made.

Canopy penetration is a huge problem with cfl. Pick a strain that is scrog friendly, and get it dialed in and you will be happy for a while- but I must say- I wouldn't consider cfl for anything over 240-300 watts- at that point it's too inefficient- as heat extraction begins to become enough I an issue that you may as well step up.

Lol. You right man. I wanna 1000 watt HPS so bad but its okay because it would be too much heat anyways.

ya ya ya...lol..everyone has an opinion...I say use em, grow it, and see how you like it..I used CFLs on my 1st grow, but now I use HIDs...I used Miracle Grow soil and Miracle Grow nutes...now I use https://www.rollitup.org/organics/539844-subs-supersoil.html and Humboldt Organics nutes......your yeild will depend on your growing skills...this is my sis in laws plants under my old CFLs it's been in flower for 3 weeks at this point, she will get about 1.5 to 2 ounces out of it when she's done....and before anyone says it, I told her to feed it already...lol..oh ya, it helps that she lives with us...I can keep her in-line...lol...

View attachment 2831261...ok ok...now for my petty grow using HIDs..

Oh ya, read the thread and got off topic :wall: ............my sis in law has 250w of CFLs on that one plant, but minimum you should have (IMO) is 150 per plant and you can get 1-1.5 off each, depending on your growing skills...have ya got any pics? We could tell alot more if we saw the plant...is it healthy or shriveled up ...lol

Im pretty good man to be honest. At first the bottom started to shrivel due to too much nutrients. Lol. I fed them everyday. (I know, it sounds like a noob mistake.) But they should be good because they havent flowered yet and wont for a while. But my last harvest was pretty good though. Even with that.
