Any C02 users out there ?

I grow in a large grow room, I run 12 - 8gallon buckets in an RDWC system, running 4k in HID. Would C02 be an option, or just a waste in a room roughly 20x20. I can just pipe in fresh air like I always do, but was wondering, if I cut the intake of fresh air and crank C02, would it be a step up, or a waste. Seems like a lot of space.
 
Thanks BK78... Yeah I have control over environment, temp/RH. I use large lo-pro air cooled hoods, have AC/dehumidifier/humidifier. Blocking some good rays with a bunch of glass, but it's easier than dealing with heat. Any clue where to get a C02 rig that would work for that size room? I am guessing maybe a welding shop or something. I've just never messed with C02, never felt the need to, but starting to wonder what I'm losing out on.

What size AC you got?
 
I have large wall units in place if I need them, and central air, in veg room and flower room, I run AC hoods in both rooms with multiple 8" fans inline, so I don't have heat issues, just the central air in my home keeps things cool during warm weather. I keep the exhaust fans turned down in winter to keep some of the heat in.

Well if you seal up the room, and stick with air-cooled hoods, figure 4k btu per 1000w light. If you got 6k btu of AC per light i’d uncool the lights and take out the glass.
Co2 generator would def be my pick over bottled.

Thing is, I'm not pulling the air from inside my rooms, I am pulling fresh air from an upstairs room that's not in use. That's what goes through my lights, then exhausted out the back of the house. I am able to adjust the central air in that spare room in the summer to push cooler air through my lights, which helps a lot. So even though I hate the glass, I hate heat stress more. So I think it would be safe since I am not pulling any air from the grow areas. Just my intake and output which would have to be turned off. Found an 8 burner for around $350.

A light mover changes all that, l was like 8 inches above plants , no heat stress because it comes in waves, and light mover had to stay on or plants would burn at lights out. But intense growth wow. My flower is only 4x4 and all growth is done 12x12 l use 7 gal plastic atm. As soon as leaves are size of pot l go to flower, but summer might change things. But for an easy component, it does its job. Opens growth area 2 or 3 x and you can move more than one with one motor. I retired mine unitl l get an electrician in. Glass blocks good uv, btw.

I had rails up before, they do work great. They save money too. Was thinking last week about maybe going back to the movers.

Yes, glass sucks. Every time I chop em down I wonder what I didn't get due to the glass. I really have no clue how much of a difference we're talking between glass and no glass. But I am sure there is a difference in yield, even if it's minuscule .

l used cool tube, tent was 110-120 192 cfm inline full blast, always hot humidity 65 rh, perfect to grow pm. Loving leds. Ive gone bare bulb and same shit for me. Fighting pm its been my whole grow expierience for a long time, was way behind the curve. Years almost missed blurples altogether.

From my experience, it’s the difference between getting 1.5lbs/light and hitting 2.

back when i got in the game we didn’t have aircooled hoods. Well, kinda did but no glass. Shit. Inline fans weren’t even out yet. I rocked regular hoods for years and then aircooled came out. Always seemed like i couldn’t hit the numbers i always used to hit. A couple years before the double ended came out, i started messing around with no glass and it was way better again. I could see how they are useful in tents though.
It’s like starting out using zero additives. Then using them. Then Wondering. How the fuck did I get sucked into this shit and then no more additives.

I'd say that's a noticeable difference. I've only been doing RDWC for about 2 years, soil and or coco before that for a couple years, so when you look at all the knowledge others have out here, such as yourself, I fall into the noob category for sure. My first grow ever went really well, so I never experimented very much with how I grow other than some minor things. Changing to DWC threw me outside my comfort zone, but I haven't had any issues with it at all, I leave my plants for a week at a time and they always look great. We're starting on a 3rd room today for soil. Almost bought some LED's for that room, but was talked out of it, AGAIN. I'm always told to expect airy buds, makes me chicken out every time.

I have not experienced that so far. I haven’t experienced better buds either though as some claim on here :-D
Ii am the guinea pig once again with LED’s and all the other growers i know. I was the guinea pig when the DE came out and that worked out great. So it’s all good.
