i have a spot with anthills and they dont bother a thing if anything they probly benefit the area. they take care of alot of pests. thats where i live northeast us. i know there are many kinds of ants but the ones here dont hurt a thing.

Ants harvest aphids...I would try and get them to move. I have had good luck with Terro brand ant bait indoors.

at the same time they can protect the bugs that eat your plants...aphids, after that you need to find something that will eat the ants, and then get lady bugs for the aphids themselves

what if you had a outbreak of even black ants...like easy 100+ ants.? i had this problem and put a ant trap down where they were comming from. Should i take it away if they wont harm the plant? and i never saw any near the plant at all just incase you were gonna ask..thanks
