another stupid newb question about rep

I can't figure out how to leave rep. I was starting to feel pretty good about navigating around but just can't find out on how leaving rep is done. Is it a button or link or something reserved for members with more time? Is it on a post, in a bush, under a rock, or in a clone? By the way, thanks to all for making this site so much fun and knowledgable.

It is the scale in the top right of your post box. Next to the post number.

you mean you didn't notice the tiny scale on the upper right of each post?
