Another Oregon Grow

Well it looks like the wife's car will be outside for a while. The garage will be a revolving door of non stop production for the next week or so....I'm so fukin tired. So far all harvest have been spurred on by signs of botrytis. I will incorporate Serenade earlier next year to try to battle this killer. Everything is close enough to finish that I'm not to bummed. All samples have been potent.
The GSC is finished, ended up with 17oz. Not to often I can hang a whole plant..all of the top buds were already removed._DSC2222.JPG

Took off 40 of the main colas of the Bangi Haze 1 after finding spots of rot.
Now the many hours of dissection and inspection._DSC2393.JPG
For the first time I've found bud rot in my GH...a couple SLH main colas showed some rot so down she comes.
Very dense buds...could've went a bit farther.SLH (2).JPG
Many hours later....did I mention I'm fukin tired. And this is just the beginning._DSC2425.JPG

Gonna go chop the rest of the Bangi 1 now_DSC2447.JPG

I've seen both bud rot and PM in greenhouses. They have huge advantages -- like this year they would allow a lot of early spring spraying without the rain washing off the treatments. But they can also trap moisture/condensation and humidity in general. I've been around them enough over the years to have an idea of what it takes to run one, but I've never fully managed one on my own. It was the same thing with outdoor grows before last year, I had helped people with theirs, but never run my own. I've found when I do something from the ground up, there is usually more to it than I had realized. Our greenhouse (next year) will be out in the yard, but I'm definitely going to run a 20amp line out to it for fans and maybe late season a dehumidifier.

I ran a 20amp dedicated circuit from my panel to the GH. It handles all of the devices I need. I run a dehumidifier every season, I was able to keep the humidity below 55% at night and during all of this rain we've had. Most of the time it avgs less than 50% in the fall. 3 seasons in this GH, this is the first rot I've had to deal with. Got a close eye on the White Widow she's pretty dense and really close to finish. The Mekong High is to fluffy to have issues with botrytis.

I'm still researching designs for my GH build, so the more information the better. Sounds like you're doing it right, sometimes there's no avoiding fungi.

. . . . . . . The Mekong High is to fluffy to have issues with botrytis.
My Darwin Dope patches have smaller, lanky buds. but had no rot or bud worms, while the FP patch, with it's nearby water source, had much larger plants with big, thick buds, and tons of worms and rot. The FP patch was all Bag Seed Testers from weed bought in the spring. Judging from all the problems I had, it was either indoor or grown in a desert somewhere.

Down to the last of the GH plants, just about have everything cut down and bagged up.Haven't had time to do much finish trim, trying to get all of it to the right stage first.
First of three cuttings I'll get off of the WW...limited to closet drying space. I kinda like spacing this one out a week at a time, hoping to get some good amber from the last one....I need more evening weed..:sleep:_DSC2730.JPG

A WW tester bud from a couple weeks ago fairly racey 50/50 clear/cloudy thric's ...delicious._DSC2601-crop.JPG
I have one more cutting to finish the MH...I've taken three of these larger bags like this one so far. Nice clean and clear sativa smoke...not as potent as I would have liked though.MH (3).JPG

I've had my best season yet even with a few issues. This is gonna be the year of rosin, bubble hash and dry ice sift for me. It was gonna be a year I grew for some small legal profit, selling a few lbs to a dispensary.
But the Med growers got fuked by the new state laws since rec was voted in. Really pisses me off that some of us small individual growers that produce some of the best top shelf material can't even recoup our costs.
Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy to see the progress towards legalization. It's just that the state starts fucking with everything and makes this a difficult and expensive process that eliminates those like myself completely.
Good thing is I've got a lot more to give away to those I know that need it, and that in the end is a better feeling than $$ in my pocket.

I just cut down the last of the Mekong High, kept her going for 13 wks.
Looks like she had enough...found my first naner.View attachment 3830852
13 weeks is a long time. My strain is 9-10 weeks, and that seems like forever to me. I've never had a whole plant of it get fully ripe yet. It seems like worms or something always make me end up cutting a week early. I'm pressing up hard against hunting season now. I want everything in the barn before Thanksgiving.

Looking at this thread has me amped up to move down to my parcel I've got in the Hood River valley. Three more years of school and then I'll be down there farming that land spring, summer, and fall (mountain rescue work in the winters puts a crimp in my cold weather cultivation aspirations). Your plants are beautiful my man, this whole thread's been a peach to look through and you've done some great work with the photography, the grow design, and the growing itself. Thanks for sharing!
