imma get the two bulbs that are a 600 watt hm and a 600 watt hps and imma order some ac desiel and some afgan kush seeds

i have read that your yeild is directly related to your lights that you use,and i heard that u use a hm for veg and hps for flowering.is this true?if so then should i get a higher watt bulb for more yeild?im only gonna have about 3-7 plants
.

Depends how long you veg if that's enough light or not, a 600w is effective for a 4x4 space. And yes mh for veg and hps for flower

Yield is directly related to everything. Lights are certainly a factor.

MH (metal halide) for veg, HPS (high pressure sodium for flower).

How much light you need is really based on the size of the area you are trying to light up.
There is a such thing as too much light. The general rule of thumb is 3k lumens per square foot in veg, 5k lumens per square foot in flower.

A 600 watt hps bulb provides around 90k lumens depending on bulb brand.
That is adequate for a room that is 18 square feet.

You can squeeze 6 plants in 3 gallon planters in 18 square feet.

^ Those are 400 watt light bulbs.

400 watt would be ideal for that size.

400 watt mh is 36k lumens, 400 watt hps is 55k lumens (+or- depending on the brand).
