Newt quotes:

"I am delighted to be in Jacksonville which will be the site of the next nuclear aircraft battle-group"

[h=6] “By the end of my second term, we will have the first permanent base on the moon and it will be American."[/h]
If I can promise you anything I'll promise you this, every fat white American will have a free house on the moon. Together, we can rule the planet and the moon! Newt2012 woooooooooooooooo!!! YES WE CAN! I LOVE YOU NEWT!!!1111 bongsmilie

Maybe I'm the only one here but I happen to think Newt's moon colony plan is inspiring. I want our president to have big ideas. We should have grand long term plans. It almost made me like the guy for a minute. I'm not sure why everyone is so cynical about this. We always get so wrapped up in what's happening right this second that we don't see the big picture some times.

I for one think that since we have millions of abandoned homes and homeless people in this country we could focus more on social issues instead of the nonsensical, lofty dreams of a wannabe Kennedy.

I agree we shouldn't just spend half a trillion dollars next year on having a moon colony. But that doesn't mean we can't start working towards that goal. To me, starting a colony on the moon represents hope for the human race. That's exactly what I want America associated with.

I'd like to see that as an international effort /w Europe, Russia, India, China, etc too. If they split the cost, it would be affordable.

Also it wouldn't be competitive since we're all working together, help build friendships, so for once everyone could trust each other. Instead of this high stakes world of international relations we've created.

I agree with you on this pretty much but would have only thought it was a great idea had he thrown in something about mining the H3 that's on the moon- if he had given that as a reason for going or a way of making it profitable or as a reason that it's nessasary then I would have thought newt was on to something - but as it stands I just think he's far out their & not in a good way

More pandering to old people by especially Newt and Mitt, Overall Ron Paul won this debate with probably Mitt or Santorum in second place.

Just goes to show, watching only the debates really makes you have a skewed view on thing. If I made my judgement only by watching the debates as many American's would do my first choice would probably be newt and second Romney but then Id be going for Obama in the General...Not just the debates but the media really tricks people in the manner it covers things and for the fact that many things it just doesn't cover.

Like I said I try to pretend as if my opinion was only based on debates and mainstream media quite often and if that was the case my choice would be Obama first, Mitt Secondly, and Newt third...but in reality I realize these people are actually threats to humanity so there is no possible way I could vote for them, they just make me want to puke.

This is kind of a great plateau in the information war here we have MSM brainwashed people (everyone but paul) vs people with internet access who don't watch mainstream media(Ron Paul). The elite establishment controllers are really in a battle for our minds here, they are losing their grasp.

For me, not everything has to be for the purposes of profits. Sending people into space and the moon was never about profits. But the by product of doing so has brought us many fantastic commercial products. Cordless power tools for example. They are a product of our space program. They weren't the purpose of NASA. That's the sort of thing that gets invented out of necessity when you attempt grand scientific projects like space travel.

So Mitt Romney is a fantastically rich pious crazy person who believes he will rule a polygamist Mormon planet in the afterlife and Newt Gingrich is a fat, nasty philandering waste of skin. Why are these people running for president?

I'm starting to think the purpose of all these debates is to insure any serious independent doesn't vote republican.

How much will a gallon of water cost on the moon?

Personally I think only republicans should be allowed on the moon so those on earth can gouge the crap out of them.

Hot sale on cold water, only $1,000,000.00 per gallon for the next fifteen minutes.

I think we should have a civil, civil war. Let republicans have their red states and the democrats their blue states and each side can rule the way they like but once you choose a side you have to live their for at least five years. This way republicans can be responsible for imposing their morals on each other and only themselves and they can either sink or swim by themselves. No social security, no food stamps, no unemployment, no medicare and the dreaded public education system can finally be put to rest too. It should be peaches and cream for all involved.

Nice straw man... You should have put "Anarchists" in place of Republicans...
