The Kandy Kush finally spread her wings the other day. Regardless they're both going 70 days.
Did my last and final clean up under the screen today and also tied down a KK top to try and keep the canopy somewhat even. Hopefully she's done stretching.
They're definitely loving the coco.
BD clones are trucking right along too.

Day 30
Kandy Kush stretched beyond my control. Stems were super weak and I broke off quite a few mains trying to tame her. The Blue dream is a beast. Smell, frost and stickiness already and looks like it will be a yielder. Glad I took cuts.
The lights are about as far away from the BD as I would like to get them. If the KK has to suffer so be it. It looks like it may be some lanky small buds on this pheno anyway. The little underdog urkle in the 3 liter up front would probably like the light a bit closer but it is what it is.

Thanks! It's that coco man! I started adding .5 grams of Jacks blossom booster to each gallon of 321 last Monday and so far so good with that.
I'll probably drop it at end of week 7.
The BD has substantially less coco in the pot than the KK too.

Hey NapalmD, I'm having the same sort of outcome -- my Blue Dream shot up like crazy, my runt is a Green Crack, which I have jacked up on an inverted pot and its still a foot shorter than the others. I crammed four into my 2x4 tent this time, I look forward to going back to just having two in there next time. I'm using a 50/50 CXA/CXB-3070 mix, just worked out that way when I was putting it together. I doubt I'll be upgrading any time soon, they seem to do the job!

Funny you say that, I was in the same dilemma 2 grows back. I had a green crack I started 2 or 3 weeks behind a lemon walker so I put the GC up on a crate and it just never took off so I gave it to my buddy to throw outdoors. Good thing because that lemon walker yielded as much as 2 plants or more. I'm actually running 4 clones right now under a 150w light in the same size 2x2.5 tent. It's the BD cuts so I already know I can get that canopy real nice under the screen, the question is will 150w do every bud site justice..time will tell.
Same here with upgrading. While I'm anxious to build a new light it's just not needed right now.
These cxa's are still killin it!
The KK and BD had exactly 58 days from the time they sprouted till I flipped the lights.

If I may...using the string for the scrog..is that proving practical? Doesn't the plant push it around some? Seems you'd want something a bit more rigid as the screen.
I've never done it, am on my next grow, so I don't know. I'm thinking something like plastic fencing would be more rigid. Does the string work well?

Honestly the string works fine. It's all in the training. I veg in a smaller tent and usually the girls only get to veg for a week tops under the screen but if you're going from seed or clone in the same space the string scrog is perfect, just string it up tight. I didn't string this one up as tight plus the fact the KK stretched like no tmrw on top of having weak unbendable branches.

The KK is definitely living up to its description of packing on the weight at week 5. All little nugs up and down the stem.
You can see in the pics a few of the tips were bleached because they were directly under the cobs
I would like to move the cobs one chain link closer to the blue dream but that's the closest I can get to the KK without causing further harm. Next time I'll be able to mount the bars front to back if need be.

Day 50 home stretch!
As stoked as I am for this Blue Dream I really can't wait for this Kandy Kush (thanks Sup!). Super sticky with a nice pungent kush scent.
It definitely surprised me with how it filled out. A bunch of dense mini nugs up and down the stem. Not a super fan of the structure on this one but it looks like it will be an easy trim and I know it's gonna be some dank!

Has anybody ever took a clone or tried to clone a lower branch at harvest? I'm really feeling this Kandy Kush pheno so far and figured it couldn't hurt to try either on the last day of lights on or right after the 24hr darkperiod. I'd like to give her another shot now that I know her growing style.
