Another curling leaf thread

Hey guys,

Before I get into another post on my leaves are curling question I want give a little background.

First I am an older dude, until a year ago hadn't smoked it in 25 years. Boy has the quality and technology come along way during my coma so to speak. Anyway, a year ago I had not seen a friend in 25 years who visited with his hamily. Well guess the rest. He said what we were smoking was grown in a hydro by a friend of his. I said a what, he goes on to explain it was grown dirtless. My first thought was I was smoking petri dish pot, wow I said I have to check this out. So, me, one who never does anything in moderation equiped myself with a fairly good grow room. I have a 16 pot (expandable to 48) 55 gal reservior ebb & flow. I have three ballast boxes, a 400w MH, a 400w HPS, a 1000w dual MH/HPS, exhaust fan, box fan blowing above fixtures out of grow room, and an oscilating fan in the room, blue lab EC/PH meter, with water and drainage in the grow room. I am rural and am on a well that is cummunity shared. At my tap the PPM is 30 and PH 7.0, It's a good setup. Last year I germed 16 seeds, 2 seeds didn't germ, I had 2 males, and 1 hermi. I finished 11 plants out and ended up with about 4lbs of bud. I was pleased. I had quite a variety in the room. The 16 seeds I germed were comprised of Kabalah, Armagedon, Orange Kush, White Widow, Moby Dick, Blueberry, Blue Hash, Blue Widow, Chocolope. I lost the Kabalah from the hermi and one male. The other male was one of the two Armagedon seeds I germed. So since I still had 8 Kabalah seeds I germed four this past spring and grew them in dirt. One was a male, but I had three fems I finished out. They were not big producers in dirt. So guess what I started another Hydro.........

Since its just me smoking the shit here I have a bit left over from last year so scaled it back this time. I have 7 in pots right now at two weeks except for one which is 10 days old. I have 4 Kabalah, a Chocolope, a Blueberry, and an Armagedon. Two days ago one of the Kabalah started the curling leaf thing. I had that last year on a few plants but in the end it didn't hurt anything so I am not to worried now expect it is starting early. I have them at 350ppm adjusted after accounting tap ppm with 30 gals in the reservior, there is 300ml of hydrozyme in there also but that has no impact on ppm, and the ph is 6.0 I have the 1000w MH above them adjusted to a height to give 50,400 lumens over 18hrs. The temp at the top of the plants is 78 degrees with a RH of 44%. All of the plants are kicking ass looking healthy after these two weeks. They are about 8 inches tall, have 6 nodes, and are bushes with branches poking out everywhere. This one plant that is beginning to have curling laterals is a Kabalah but out of all seven plants it is the most vigorous grower, and thats why I think she is curling. Can't be heat as its only 78 degrees on top of her, to many lumens maybe but don't know as the others are not doing it, humidity is a little lower than I would like but don't suspect that either since the others are not curling. I am thinking this plant wants to jump out ahead of everyone else and cannot get enough food but I don't want to risk frying the others because one is greedy. And yes Zinc is in the micro's before anyone suggest that.

So to the experienced hydro growers, how do you treat the renegade without hurting the farm?

You could foliar feed it. Also, I've found myself having better results with a pH around 5.2 - 5.5 in hydro.

Sounds like you had some nice luck with the females in those last grows, and a badass yield of multiple strains. Right on.
